FREE PATTERN FRIDAY: Blocks TWENTY and TWENTY-ONE, half blocks
This week is the last of our half blocks, thus finishing the interior blocks! Next week, we will take a break to allow for catching up or just trimming threads! You can choose to remove all of your backing papers now, or leave them until after final assembly. We will work on sashing in two weeks, and also vote on border options in the meantime! This is getting exciting!
Block twenty-one has us revisiting Y seams, but again, don't be afraid! I encourage you to try them out and be a little adventurous.
About our mini quilt adventure: I have always been intrigued by miniature things, almost as much as I love a good challenge! This little quilt finishes at just under 20 inches, not including borders. If you're interested in piecing this mini with me, check here every Friday for the next block! Today's block is in the left top corner, and is Foundation Paper Pieced. I'm planning on a three color quilt, and I'll need about one yard of each color. Feel free to add your own spin to this quilt, or make it a scrap friendly project!
