FREE PATTERN FRIDAY: Block SEVEN of the Mini Stellar Quilt
I had a different block picked out for this week, but time got away from me and I decided to switch to an easy block instead of the more difficult one. So at least you have something to look forward to next week: Y SEAMS!! Don't fear, I'm right here with you!
This is a super simple block, and I especially like how each of the sections only use two colors. This helps me to keep things straight while sewing and less likely to sew the wrong color in a spot.
We've got about six more full blocks to complete, before moving on to the half blocks and finally the borders! It's getting exciting!
Enjoy sewing! As always, be sure to tag me on instagram @crankykangaroo and share your progress pics using #ministellarquilt
About our mini quilt adventure: I have always been intrigued by miniature things, almost as much as I love a good challenge! This little quilt finishes at just under 20 inches, not including borders. If you're interested in piecing this mini with me, check here every Friday for the next block! Today's block is in the left top corner, and is Foundation Paper Pieced. I'm planning on a three color quilt, and I'll need about one yard of each color. Feel free to add your own spin to this quilt, or make it a scrap friendly project!
